The United States Deaprtment of Agriculture reported that Chinese buyers purchased 686,000 metric tons of United States corn last week.
This suggests that China is following through on it’s obligations for the U.S.-China Phase One Agreement. Although U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Chinese Vice Premier Liu He are said to be meeting thsi coming week to discuss the Phase One Agreement and it’s obligations.
AgriPulse reports that the U.S. Grains Council says, China’s recent purchases of U.S. corn places the county back in the top five markets for U.S. corn, which is promising news for American farmers during this critical time.
