Have you considered fostering or adopting a pet from a local shelter? Now would be the perfect time – particularly those who are working from home. Think of all the extra attention you could give to a new member of your family while we practice social isolation?!?!
Heather Clyde from Homeward Animal Shelter in Fargo, ND joins It Takes Two for some silver lining news about the shelter. The total number of “guests” is low. People are using this time to foster and adopt above regular numbers! That doesn’t mean there still isn’t a furry face looking to find a forever home – so make sure you take the opportunity to adopt or foster today. NOTE – Homeward Animal Shelter is CLOSED to walk-ins, only foster homes and adoptions are allowed onsite and by APPOINTMENT only.
Heather also gives an update on the Spay-getti and No-Balls Luncheon (still happening virtually on Facebook 4/28). They are pushing people, like the KFGO listeners, to take a video of their dog or cat enjoying a giant plate of spaghetti and post the photos or videos online in support of the Homeward Animal Shelter.
