MOORHEAD – The Concordia Cobbers hired Tyler Bormann as their next head men’s basketball coach on Thursday.
Bormann was the head boys basketball coach for the Moorhead Spuds for the past four seasons.
“Tyler has been successful wherever he has coached,” said Concordia athletic director Rachel Bergeson in statement released from the school. “Not only has he produced winning seasons in both of his head coaching jobs but he has also been a terrific mentor and educator for his student/athletes. We are extremely excited to have Tyler as the new head coach for the men’s program. I am excited to welcome him back to Concordia.”
Bormann is a 2006 graduate from Concordia. Before his four seasons at Moorhead, he was the head coach at Breckenridge, assistant coach for the University of Jamestown in 2011 and assistant coach at Lakeland College in 2008.
