In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses have closed or are adjusting hours and guidelines.
West Acres Mall in Fargo, ND has just announced that they will remain closed through at least April 30, 2020.
Here’s what you need to know if you have to make a trip to Costco, Target or the grocery stores.
Costco
While already limiting the amount of costumers in the building at once, starting Friday they will also restrict those who can come in under one card. (So, leave the family at home) Starting Friday, April 3, 2020, Costco will only allow 2 people per membership card to enter the warehouse.
Hours
In addition, they will close at 6:30pm Monday – Friday. And, gas stations will be open 7:30am – 7pm weekdays and close at 6:30pm on weekends.
Members Ages 60 or Older
For members 60 and older and those with physical impairments, Costco will open from 8 to 9am Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The pharmacy will also be open, however, the food court will not.
Returns
Costco is not accepting returns on some items, including: toilet paper, bottled water, sanitizing wipes, paper towels, rice and disinfecting spray.
Target
Target has not changed its hours. And, if you haven’t tried downloading their app and using Drive Up service, I would highly recommend it. Your order is usually ready within 4 hours, a team member brings it right out to your car and only has to scan the barcode on your phone. (But, pro tip: make sure you look over your items before driving away – you won’t be able to make a return for awhile.) They also have an “Order Pickup” option, which you will have to go in the store for.
High-risk guests
Target is making the first hour of operations on Tuesdays and Wednesdays available for those over 65 years old, pregnant women and those defined by the CDC as vulnerable or at-risk.
Returns
As of March 26, all Target stores stopped accepting returns or exchanges for three weeks, through April 16, 2020. After that date, they will extend their return policy by three weeks.
Cash Wise & Hornbachers
Things Look a Little Different
Stores has installed plexi-glass shields at each of the registers to minimize the risk to both employees and guests during the check-out process.
While the stores have not yet banned re-usable bags, they are asking guests to wash the bags regularly.
You can also consider the “Shop Online” option on the website where you can designate a time to pick-up your groceries.
Hours
The hours of all locations are now 7am to 10pm everyday.
High-risk guests
Cash Wise and Hornbachers are asking those who are high-risk to shop during the first hour of the day. And, politely ask those not in that category to shop after.
