MOORHEAD, MINN. (KFGO) – The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating a man’s death in Moorhead.
Officers with the High Plains Fugitive Task Force were taking a man into custody for outstanding felony warrants at a home in the 700 block of 4th Street South Tuesday afternoon. During the arrest, the man complained of shortness of breath and then passed out as paramedics arrived. He was taken by ambulance to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo where he died Tuesday night.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
There are no body camera images of the incident. The BCA will determine whether squad dash cameras captured any portions of the incident.
The BCA is in the process of conducting interviews with incident participants. The man’s name has not been released.
