MANVEL, N.D. (KFGO) – An Alvarado, Minnesota man is facing a DUI charge following a wrong-way crash on I-29 in Grand Forks County that injured three people.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 34-year old Adam Bergman was driving south in the northbound lanes of 1-29 near Manvel around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when he collided with an SUV. The woman driving that vehicle attempted to take evasive action but the vehicles collided head-on.
Bergman, the woman and a passenger in her vehicle were taken to Altru Hospital with non-critical injuries.
Northbound traffic on I-29 was diverted onto Highway 81 at Manvel for more than an hour until the scene could be cleared.
