The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has added six new weeds to the state’s Noxious Weed List.
The Noxious Weed List places weeds into four categories, Prohibited Eradicate, Prohibited Control, Restricted, and Specially Regulated, and defines how the weeds must be controlled.
The six weeds added to the list include: Japanese honeysuckle, Bohemian knotweed, siberian peashurb, European alder, Norway maple and winged burning bush.
A complete list of noxious weeds in Minnesota can be found on the Minnesota Department of Agriculture’s website.
