Are you one of those people who gets bent out of shape when things don’t go as planned or do you just go with the flow? I have found that it doesn’t pay to get all worked up about things you can’t control, so you might as well make the best of the situation.
I was talking to someone who just returned from a trip to Hawaii. She and her husband went with another couple who booked their hotel and rental car, on the wrong island. After spending a night sharing a hotel room with one bed and making numerous phone calls the following morning, they were able to get to where they needed to be. Sure it cost them more, but instead of getting mad at someone for an honest mistake they made the best of their situation. The way I look at it, memories were still made. Years from now, they can look back at laugh at how they ended up on the wrong island and the adventures they had trying to get to where they were supposed to be.
