THU 8/8-HALL OF FAME NIGHT WITH THE NLSA LIGHTNING SPRINTS-NORMAN COUNTY RACEWAY-ADA, MN

Paul and Shelly Engelstad joined last year’s inductees Jim Corcoran, Leon, and Orville Johnson into the prestigious Norman County Raceway Hall of Fame Thursday night and the racing was worthy nomination as well. 3w Aaron Wetterlin started off the night by snapping his winless streak with his dominant win in the Sportmods. 14 Alyssa White picked up win number 3 on her young career in the Hobby Stock class. 87s Reise Stenberg continued his dominance of the Midwest Modified class with his 4th win of the year at NCR. Then a little weirdness happened next as 19 Elzetta Bitker hit an infield tire while entering the track for her feature race in the Legends pushing it halfway up the track and causing a slight delay in the start of the feature. When racing resumed, 72 “Hollywood” Tye Wilke made a bold move to get by 20 Alex Braseth and 58 Sean Johnson to take the lead with 5 to go to capture the win. 93 Kelsi Pederson led every lap to win the Lightning Sprint feature making it the first night in NCR history where 2 females won in the same night. 40 Rob VanMil added to his already big point lead with his Stock Car win. Then in the Modified Main Event, 3s the “Fargo Flash” Jesse Skalicky charged up from 7th to the win in dramatic fashion to win by .041 at the line for his first NCR Modified victory.
FRI 8/01-DAKOTA CAT MOD SHOOTOUT-STOCK CAR KINGPIN KLASH AND LADIES NIGHT-RED RIVER VALLEY SPEEDWAY-WEST FARGO, ND

It was a night of firsts Friday night at RRVS. 31x Tim Shiek started off the night by getting his first Hobby Stock win at RRVS. Then right after that, 5f Brandon Ferris got his first ever feature win in the Sportmods after battling with his cousin 76 Reile Sailer, who caused a delay at the beginning of the race in one of the funniest things I have ever seen to delay a race. So there was a meet and greet for the Mods and Sportmods at the beginning of the night. Reile Sailer forgot to take a box off of his car that contained cards that he was handing out during that meet and greet. They spilled out all over the track causing all of the officials and even the firemen to run out and clean them up. 4 Rick Schulz got his first ever Kingpin Klash victory in the Stock Cars. Then 21 Andrew Jochim charged up from 9th to victory in the Legends feature. And to end the night, 6d Dylan Goplen outran 2 Casey Arneson, and 72 Dave Shipley who charged up from 12th to score Goplen’s first Modified win of his career.
SAT 8/10-GLYNDON DAYS AND FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT-BUFFALO RIVER RACE PARK-GLYNDON, MN

30a Adam Goff has been perfect this year at BRRP after winning his 6th Hobby Stock feature Saturday night. After that, 52 Brennan Borg started dead last in the Stock Cars and how many cars did he pass? ALL OF THEM! 72 Tye Wilke started the day out racing with a heavy heart as his older brother was severely burned in his boat earlier in the day. Wilke raced with a heavy heart but his right foot was heavier as he passed half the Legends field and dominating for the win. After that, 2 Joe Lewis won the shortest race of the year. The race lasted only to the second turn where 21 Noah Lewis lost control and hit an infield tire ending his day. 21 Dev Malmlov became the second first-time winner in a row with his Lightning Sprint feature win. Then 51 Kelly Jacobson picked up his first win of the year in the Sportmods. 3s Jesse Skalicky continued his recent hot streak with his win in the Modifieds. Then 77h Daniel Harstad capped off the racing action by winning the Sport Compact feature.
SUN 8/11-KIDS NIGHT WITH IMCA MODIFIEDS-SHEYENNE SPEEDWAY-LISBON, ND
www.sheyennespeedway.com
A strange thing happened in the heat races, as beach balls that were given out before the races caused a delay in the racing action when they got loose and ended up blowing around the race track. Once racing resumed, 02 Jordan Sours grabbed his second Hobby Stock win of the year. Then 66 Kyle Langland kept his cool in traffic and held off 50c Cody “The Cobra” Lee for his Midwest Modified win. In the Street Stocks, 19 Todd Carter held off his nephew 46 Jonny Carter for the win. Then Dave Shipley took his 72 Modified and parked it in victory lane. Lastly, 7x Gavin Walton earned career win number 1 in the Mini Stocks. Fun Fact, the Mini Stocks have yet to have a repeat winner in the 8 races run this season.
IN NATIONAL NEWS
Congratulations to 10 Austin Arneson who went down to The Harris Clash at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN Tuesday, August 6th and picked up the win in spectacular fashion over 11x and Dakota Mod Tour Champ Tom Berry Jr.
