SAUK CENTRE, Minn. – Authorities say 27-year Ryan Kellen was arrested after a standoff in Sauk Centre and fired a gun at an armored vehicle carrying SWAT officers.
Investigators determined the shot hit the armored vehicle near the driver’s side door as it approached the home Sunday. The vehicle was occupied by multiple SWAT officers when it was fired upon, but no officers were hurt.
Officers responded to the home Sunday morning after a woman called and said her husband had assaulted her.
Authorities say the suspect was making threatening statements and had a 9-year-old child in the residence. The child was released and the man eventually surrendered.
