There are some people out there that claim to be independents
who have already chosen Trump in the 2020 race. Many of them will use the line,
“I can’t stand Trump but he’s better than anyone they have running,” or “Trump
is an embarrassment but at least he tells it like it is.”
I’d challenge them to tell me why. How do they know for sure
know he’s better until they hear them one-on-one? One-on-one in a format where
they get asked the same questions. Questions that they both have to answer.
The problem is Trump won’t debate. He won’t submit himself
to the debates because he’ll be afraid to explain his record. He’ll have to
answer to all the lies he’s told.
Of course, he’ll use other excuses. He’ll say that they aren’t
worthy of being on a stage with him. That people know where he stands on the
issues so what’s to gain?
Then the name calling will begin. From Sleepy Joe to
Pocahontas, or Crazy Bernie to Howdy-Doody, he’ll try to demean his opponent
and draw attention away from the debates. Hoping that his supporters will say
the debates don’t matter, that Trump has nothing to prove by allowing a
Democrat anywhere near him.
So, let me do a little name calling myself. He’ll be
chicken. Afraid that the world will see him for what he is. A man that doesn’t
know how to govern unless it benefits himself. A man with a political record he
doesn’t want to defend.
There are two kinds of Trump supporters reading this. Those
that believe this, and those that don’t.
The problem is if I’m right, they’ll both justify it.
