Joe Biden needs to pick his running mate right now. He needs
to shake up the traditional system and inject new energy, showing people the
whole ticket that they’d be nominating.
For years, the conventional thinking was to choose a running
mate from a state that they might help carry. A swing state that would take
pride in having their person on the ticket. One of the states that Trump barely
carried.
That’s no longer true. There are other things that matter
more.
That’s why he needs to pick Kamala Harris. She hits all those
important needs. She’s intelligent, tenacious and tough as hell. She’s the
right age. And she’s all of the things that matter the
most
. She’s a
woman, she’s black and she’s attractive.

all
of that. He needs someone younger, even though he and Trump are nearly the same
age. He needs someone the black community could take pride in, and he needs
someone that gives women what they deserve. A spot on the ticket.
All of that and his campaign gets to be in two places at the
same time. Drawing twice the attention from the public and the media
and
making sure those swing states get the attention they need.
Biden needs to take this chance. He needs to break tradition
and be unconventional.
After all, look who he’d be running against.
