ELBOW LAKE, MN (KFGO) – The former bookkeeper of the Ashby Farmers Cooperative Elevator is facing felony theft-by-swindle charges in Grant County.
47-year-old Kimberly Dysthe Goeden of Fergus Falls was bookkeeper during the time that ex-general manager Jerry Hennessey embezzled more than $5-million.
Prosecutors say Dysthe Goeden wrote more than $88,000 in unauthorized coop checks for her own benefit over a four-year period.
Her first court hearing is Jan. 6.
Hennessey is serving an 8-and-a-half-year federal prison sentence.
