First up from the New York Evening Star, Dec. 25th 1919, a type of adoption you just don’t see, back then or now. A Christmas present for the ones who have been loyal.
The South Bend Indiana Times reports their Mayor got a pretty touching Christmas gift that almost brought him to tears.
We hear all about how we should prepare for our funerals so others don’t have too.
From the news scimitar (Not capitalized) of Memphis a story of firemen finding out a couple was prepared for the judgement day.
The Albuquerque Journal reported a nice Christmas bonus for local book store employees. (Yes there is an “e” missing in the headline)
The Ogden Standard in Utah tells of Babe Ruth rejecting his contract! (story from Christmas eve, but in the Christmas day paper.)
Seattle Star reported the story of a pet cat providing the family supper in Pennsylvania!
