Using the American people’s tax dollars to blackmail someone is an impeachable offense.
Especially
when the target of that corruption is a political opponent and the one being used to do it is a foreign country.
Our founding fathers knew this could happen. They feared it would happen. The only question was would it happen. Well, it took 45 Presidents, but it
did
.
Donald Trump did it. And the most disgusting part to me is that he knew better. Having just gone through the Mueller investigation, he had to know. He just didn’t care.
And why should he? Other than the judgment of history, he has no concerns. He learned in his private life that he could do whatever he wants. So why wouldn’t he as President?
He knows he won’t be found guilty in the Senate. The majority party has already made up their minds. The jury has already spoken and they’ve been telling anyone that will listen that they won’t find him guilty. They aren’t concerned about the evidence. And worse yet, they’re not concerned about the constitution.
The only way Trump could be convicted in the Senate is if there was a secret ballot. Then, for the first time, he would fear them instead of the other way around. But don’t expect Mitch McConnell or Lindsey Graham to come out of the closet.
It’s just too safe in there.
Good riding with you.
