First up from the Washington Times, it’s a jewel heist! The robber made a request that will never be allowed to happen again…..
Here’s one for Doug Leier….Inside a fish weir (trap) a big surprise was found.
A Boston story found in the New York Sun! The word “din” is in the story meaning a loud continuous noise.
Many baseball fans will remember Casey Stengel from the 50’s and 60’s as manager of the Yankees and Mets. At age 29 in 1919, he was as ornery as even when the Phillies and Pittsburgh were making a trade.
And in December of 1919 people were urged to mail early so cards and packages will get to their destinations in time for Christmas
