MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO) – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was involved in two separate chases within a half-hour of each other early Monday morning.
A Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for having obstructed plates when the car took off, lost control and slid into a snowbank. The driver, Jessica Schweninger, was arrested. A passenger fled on foot and was not located.
While police were looking for the passenger that got away they saw a stolen vehicle pass them. Another Clay County Deputy tried to stop the stolen car when it fled. The vehicle slid and went into a snowbank. All three people in the car fled on foot but were caught and taken to the Clay County Correctional Facility.
The three people in the stolen car are:
The Driver, Phillip Murray, a 30-year-old male from Moorhead. Currently being held in the Clay County Correctional Center for Felony Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle and for being in Possession of Stolen Property.
Jillian Cline, 34-year-old female from Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Booked and Released from the Correctional Center for Misdemeanor Fleeing on Foot
Travis Freitag, 27-year-old male from Jamestown, North Dakota. Booked and Released from the Correctional Center for Misdemeanor Fleeing on Foot
