When I lived in Valley City there was a convenience store called
“Lil Feller”
(my quick search showed only one left in Winner, SD) it was my first ever C-Store and I was addicted to the variety of items you could pick up.
From batteries and bread to random odd items you just never know what you’ll find. It was the evolution of the settlers General Store and has become a staple in most of our lives.
Lil Feller was where I found my first can of
“Jolt” Cola
It was labled with “all the sugar and twice the caffeine” It really didn’t taste that good but is still in my mind the first induction of a society which cant get enough caffeine.
I remember finding gum with caffeine and thought I’d seen it all until this.
