Every one of us has something we own that we value. Something
that we love having. Whether that defines us as an individual or is something
we need just to do our job.
Anyone that knows me knows most of the people in my life are
farmers. They’re my neighbors, friends and family. Which makes me a lucky man.
And it’s made for a lucky life.
The farmers I know love what they do. The land is in their
blood. It defines them and how they’ve chosen to live their lives. Their
fathers and mothers gave them the tools to live that life.
The difference between a good farmer and a bad is how they take
care of those tools. Whether it’s land or lifter, it’s their job to keep it up
and make sure they leave it better than they found it.
So how do you think they feel when they’re pulling that
equipment apart? When they’re leaving ruts that only a dozer or a backhoe can
fill? I ask because that’s what’s going on
right
now
. They’re
trying to get a crop off that has fought them like none before.
Because that’s what they do.
Let’s give them some room.
Good riding with you.
