On Halloween, whether you fill up a bowl with tasty treats or you are the house on the block that gives out toothbrushes…we all choose a time to close up shop for the night and tell the Trick-or-Treaters to move on to the next house.
Bonnie Amistadi lays down the law that she turns off her porch light at 8pm. That’s when the evening should wind down, according to her. Especially when Halloween falls on a school night.
JJ Gordon disagrees. He thinks that 10pm should be the cutoff. Older kids can stay out later and if this is the last Halloween some of them are Trick-or-Treating, they should be able to go for the gold and collect the most candy of their little Halloween careers.
Carl from Wyndmere, ND calls in and talks about Trick-or-Treaters with manners. If they say “Thank You” he handed out a one dollar bill. This meant the number of kids coming to his door ballooned every year…until he stopped. He also handed out onions to those who did not know the magic words! Some of the little buggers even wanted the onion more than the dollar.
Bonnie and JJ also did not see eye to eye on Trick-or-Treating outside the neighborhood you live in…We suppose that’s why the show is called “It Takes Two”
Happy Halloween from the KFGO Team!
