FARGO (KFGO) – Frustrated with a lack of progress in contract negotiations, the union representing Fargo teachers says it’s taking the school board to court.
The Fargo Education Association, in a statement Tuesday, claims that the school board broke state law in declaring an impasse without union approval. The FEA wants a judge to order the school board to resume contract talks.
Teacher safety and pay have been top issues. Teachers in North Dakota do not have the right to go on strike.
