MINOT, N.D. (AP) – Ward County sheriff’s officials say a Canadian man has been arrested for trying to lure a minor for sex.
The North Dakota Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began communicating with a 44-year-old Winnipeg, Manitoba man on a mobile app in March. The suspect thought he was communicating with a 14-year-old boy.
Investigators say contact continued through the summer and until he arranged to meet the minor for sex in Minot. He was arrested Sunday when he arrived for their meeting.
