The great listeners of KFGO came through with dozens of pairs of new or gently used running shoes during our “Back on Your Feet – It Takes Shoes” collection program.
In Bismarck, a group of dedicated citizens have shared their love of running with those battling addiction. Replace old destructive habits with healthy new hobbies. This program then spilled into a monthly run at the Missouri River Correctional Center. This run invites inmates to spend some time running together as a group. Improving physical and mental health while serving their time.
Inmates are issued less than desirable shoes for running – so Judge Reich asked for help in rounding up some shoes. KFGO jumped at the chance and here we are – MORE THAN 200 PAIRS OF SHOES collected!

The listeners and community around KFGO went above and beyond to fill the boxes at our station. New shoes, slightly used shoes and a lot of good vibes all make their way to improve the health of those at the Missouri River Correctional Center.
