FARGO (KFGO) – For the first time in 30 years, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will appear at this weekend’s Fargo AirSho. The flight demonstration team will perform for about an hour on each day of the AirSho Saturday and Sunday.
Thunderbirds pilot, Captain Michael Brewer, says fans can expect an exciting show. “We expect to have a full ‘high show’ while we’re out there” according to Brewer. “You’re going to see us doing the Diamond Formation, where the diamond will loop and roll and do a lot of precision flying. You’ll see the two solos. What they’re going to demonstrate is the agility of the F-16.”
The last time the Thunderbirds were in Fargo was 1989, when the AirSho celebrated the North Dakota Centennial.
This year’s AirSho will also include several other performances and static displays. Tickets are available at the Fargo Air Museum, the FM Convention and Visitors Bureau and at fargoairsho.com.
