The NBA needs to change their calendar. After the NBA Finals let sports-talk radio, blogs and ESPN hype up the draft and free-agency for two weeks. July 1st should be the start of free agency, the draft should be held the Thursday night after the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, and you shouldn’t be able to trade a player until you sign them (like in the NFL) so you don’t have ridiculous scenes like this, a player drafted by the Phoenix Suns, when everyone knew Jarrett Culver was going to be with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
