Carl Oberholtzer joins It Takes Two with a discussion and invitation to join the Lake Detroiters Association in DL this Saturday to celebrate the lake!
Carl details some history about the lake and how the geographical location became a beacon for fur trappers, railroads, highways, recreation, nature preserves and more. The city grew around this beautiful lake – and even though it’s located in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, it happens to be one body of water that gets a documentary about its history!
Starting at 8am, in The Pavilion, a pancake breakfast kicks off provided by the Knights of Columbus for only $5. At 9:15am, the annual meeting of the Lake Detroiters and at 10:00am the world premiere of “What a Beautiful Detroit” with a panel discussion afterwards.
The day doesn’t end there, 1-5pm will feature “Rock Out with Your Dock Out” the band/burgers/bar experience. And rounding out the day is a DJ’d dance at the Pavilion from 7-10pm featuring “music through the ages.”
