Sanford knows their limitations in reaching certain groups.
It’s not possible to put a clinic or hospital in every town, let alone an excellent onsite doctor.
And, their partnership with Tyto Care is a huge first step in solving that dilemma.
Tyto Care sells personal health devices that can do things like record your heartbeat, look into your ears, monitor skin conditions and much much more.
The device is roughly the size of a softball and comes with various add-ons that can mimic a stethoscope or tongue depressor. The readings taken by the device are sent to your care provider and they can interpret the data without having the patient make multiple visits or trek long distances for appointments.
Video plays a big part as well.
As long as you have an internet connection, you can use Tyto Care’s device.
The device will cost you about $300.
Listen to the podcast above with Dr. Griffin from Sanford for more information – and, if you are interested in using the device, ask your Sanford provider!
