As explained by Daryl Ritchison, “as the air temperature gets warmer, the atmosphere can hold more moisture… and the relative humidity is how much water the atmosphere can hold at the current temperature.”
In this podcast: Daryl Ritchison,
Director of the North Dakota Agricultural Weather Network (NDAWN), joins us to discuss humidity and below average spring temps.
Even though there might be a 100% humidity in January, the cooler temperature means the atmosphere can’t hold as much moisture, therefore, it wouldn’t feel like the kind of humid in July at around 80 degrees.
Ritchison also talks about our below average spring temperatures and what’s to come in this week’s weather… hear more above!
