I’m not a “Pinterest Mom”… but this little concoction sure made me feel like one!
I needed a QUICK kid-friendly dessert but didn’t want it to be over-the-top sweet and indulgent (like cookies, brownies, etc).
This took few ingredients, not a lot of time… and, I must say, was so cute!
Sugar Cones w/ Fruit!
– Fruit (I used strawberries, blueberries and grapes- all cut up… because the cups are small and I constantly fear chocking hazards.)
– Sugar Cones (I would recommend waffle cones if making for adults – the sugar cones are pretty small.)
– Semi-sweet chocolate chips
– Sprinkles
Melt some of the chocolate chips (I did 30 second increments in the microwave and stirred after each- only took 1.5 minutes).
Dip the tops of the sugar cones in the melted chocolate.
You may need to use a butter knife to assist in thinning out the chocolate and distributing evenly… then coat with sprinkles!
Because I was in a hurry, I threw them in the freezer to set-up a little quicker while I cut-up fruit.
Fill with fruit and you’re done!
(How cute are those?!)
I kept half of them without the chocolate and sprinkles & covered with plastic wrap.
(I am sure there is a much better idea out there for presentation, but we had to travel with them… and, as I’ve said, I was in a hurry.)
So, there you go. When you want to fake your “Pinterest Mom” status… I’m here for you. Haha!
