Trees! Trees! Trees! Dave Decock answers a lot of questions about trees in this episode. Included in the write up is a picture, courtesy of listener Duane, who wanted some advice on trimming a relatively new apple tree!
Here are some of Dave’s tips when it comes to trees.
1. Planting near water (like the lakes area?) Dave recommends Linden trees. They like more moisture and grow fairly quickly. You can also look towards Maples or Ash trees.
2. Looking to get a new tree planted on your boulevard in the City of Fargo? Contact the Fargo Forestry Department.

3. A fungal disease on the roots can ruin an entire shelter belt of trees. Calling your county extension can be a great way to have soil tested or fresh eyes on a problem.
