Car thefts are on the rise in Fargo. And, Fargo Police Department PIO Jessica Schindeldecker, says most of the cases have one thing in common: the vehicles are unlocked, with the keys in the ignition.
Lock it or Lose it
Just last month, Fargo had 23 car thefts. And, only 4 or 5 of those vehicles were recovered. And, unfortunately, most times if the vehicle was recovered, the items inside were not. So, those who had left their purse or other valuables could also be at risk for identity theft.

A reminder: Lock it or lose it. Always take your keys out of your vehicle, lock all the doors and remove all valuables.
