Our Farmers Market is Celebrating Spring!
The Red River Market will open for a spring event on Saturday, May 4th at Prairie Roots Food
Co-op. This one-day event will give shoppers a taste of their summer season with over 40 local
vendors.
A range of locally made products will be available from pantry and household items to spring
produce and bedding plants. Live entertainment will take place during the entire event including
cooking demonstrations by Prairie Roots Food Co-op and performances by Warren
Christensen, Jade Teather, and DJ AP.
Visitors are invited to stay for lunch from market food vendors or try the Co-op’s deli and hot bar.
Adults can enjoy a tasting from local wine, beer, and cider vendors including 4e Winery, Fargo
Brewing Company, Prairie Rose Meadery, and Cottonwood Cidery. Kids can take part in free
face painting and enjoy treats like homemade gelato from the Duchessa Gelato cart.
The Spring Market will highlight the west side of downtown Fargo and visitors are encouraged to
explore neighboring businesses like Wild Terra Cidery, Pixeled Brewing, and the Plains Art
Museum.
Prairie Roots Food Co-op is looking forward to co-hosting the Spring Market for the second year
of the event. “Prairie Roots Food Cooperative is dedicated to building a healthy community by
providing access to natural, organic, and locally produced food,” said General Manager, Trae
Long. “Partnering with Red River Market is a building block to continue on our mission to
connect with the community.”
The Red River Market 2019 season starts on Saturday, July 13th. You can find more details on
