FARGO (KFGO) – North Dakota’s “Blind Joe” Bommersbach is the star of a new anti-drunken driving campaign by the Fargo Police Dept. He performs “Make The Right Choice” in a 30-second animated public service announcement.
“Blind Joe” became a breakout star on the TV series “The Voice” and advanced to one of the final rounds.
A National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report shows that North Dakota ranks third for most impaired driving deaths per capita. State Dept. of Transportation numbers show the average blood alcohol content among DUI offenders in North Dakota is 0.15, which is nearly twice the legal limit.
“Blind Joe” is from Kindred, N.D. and now lives in Moorhead.
