WEST FARGO, ND (KFGO) – An estimated 30 classic and collector vehicles that were stored in a large metal building on the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo have been damaged or destroyed in a roof collapse.
West Fargo Rural Fire Chief Rory Jorgensen says employees on the grounds heard the building go down.
About an 80-ft. section of the roof on the south side of the building gave way under the weight of heavy snow. Jorgensen says fairgrounds employees contacted the vehicle owners.
An engineer was called to check the building to determine whether more of the roof was in danger of collapsing.
