AUDUBON, MINN. – A fire destroyed a trucking company business west of Audubon, Minnesota. Damage is estimated at over a million dollars at the Baer Trucking facility. The blaze was reported shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday.
Audubon Fire Chief Chris Wiedenmeyer says the building was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene. Crews were able to contain the fire within about an hour and a half and they were able to keep propane tanks cooled. No one was in the building at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
The state fire marshal’s office has been called in to determine a cause however, Wiedenmeyer says the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
Fire departments from Audubon, Lake Park, Detroit Lakes, Hawley, Callaway and Pelican Rapids responded.
