We’ve done it. We have had more snow in the month of February than ever before…on record. Even the light snowfall we received during the broadcast kept the record growing. Compared to previous years, February 2019 has been a real bother – but we still would need to double the winter season totals to get anywhere near the 96-97 winter that ended in a devastating flood year.
Tom also mentions that we are now #12 on the “Most Days in a Row without a Temperature at or above 32 degrees” – with no warming trend in sight, we might easily sneak further onto the list. Our chief meteorologist also mentions that, with no warm up in sight, we may be in for further records!
