Menahga, MN (KFGO) – The Blueberry Pines Golf Course club house in Wadena County was destroyed in a fire Wednesday.
The sheriff’s office says the initial calls came in just before 4 p.m. When first law enforcement arrived on scene, flames were already visible. Menahga Fire crews requested mutual aid from fire departments in Sebeka, Park Rapids, and Wolf Lake. Due to its intensity, fire departments from Wadena, Verndale, Staples, Akeley, Nevis, Bluffton and Carsonville also responded.
The sheriff’s office reports the building was still actively burning at 7:30 p.m. and crews were still on scene at 9 p.m.
No one was injured.
The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate the cause.
The Blueberry Pines Golf Course is about three miles north of Menahga and eight miles south of Park Rapids.
