Foodie Friday shares JJ and Amy’s favorite wild game recipes. Amy sets you up with a delicious venison marinade and chili. JJ takes to the skies with a family recipe for pheasant stroganoff.
Amy’s Venison Marinade:
JJ’s Pheasant Stroganoff (for a slow cooker)
2 Pheasants, quartered
Medium Onion – Diced thick
1 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup (add additional mushrooms to taste)
½ cup chicken broth
2 heaping tablespoons of flour
1 tablespoon of Worsteschire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
I clove of garlic or a heaping tablespoon of minced garlic
I bag of wide egg noodles.
Onions, cream of mushroom soup and pheasant into the clow cooker
In a separate bowl, combine the flour and chicken broth, mixing until smooth. Add the worstechire, salt, pepper and garlic. Pour mixture over pheasant in slow cooker.
Cook for 6 hours on low, pheasant should be tender.
Cook Egg Noodles and serve pheasant mixture over them.
