The men who know meat, Spencer and Demetris from NDSU’s Meat Science program join IT2 in the studio to talk about the upcoming BBQ Bootcamp – a master course in grill techniques for any bar-b-quer.

BBQ Bootcamp is celebrating it’s 10 year anniversary and, just like a good brisket, things are only getting better with age. Since the beginning, BBQ Bootcamp has set itself above other workshops or cooking classes by offering some real world science. How to choose meat, what the fat cap means, how to correctly use a meat thermometer and other science-y skills that will make you the envy of the neighborhood.
The next BBQ Bootcamp is August 1st in Fargo. It will be held on the NDSU campus in Sheppard Arena, it’s only $45 and gets you a full meal (and by full, I mean – you are going to leave stuffed to the gills) and some swag. The knowledge is the real treasure here. Learn from the pros (some of these folks have a PhD in meat!) and bring that back to your home grill or slow cooker.
