It’s been years in the making and now Fargo’s new City Hall is just WEEKS away from opening it’s door.
See some of the progress below – and listen to the audio above!
KFGO News Reporter, Don Haney, Amy Iler and JJ Gordon were able to tour the facility with Mayor Tim Mahoney, Terry Stroh, the lead architect of TL Stroh and Donna Wiger, the lead designer, also of TL Stroh.

As you walk in the front door… The future home of a “Welcome” desk…
As you walk in the main entrance… the future City Commission Chambers (expected to open around October) (to the right, pictured above) and to the left, a payment window for city departments.
View from the IT Department, 3rd floor — quite impressive!
The Red River, flood wall and even the peeks of the Hjemkomst Center are highlights out the 3rd floor windows.

Donna Wiger, lead designer, explained how city employees picked the “splash” of colors used. When given a choice, they landed on the bright blues and hues of green. You can see them used in different ways throughout the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building.
Each Department will have a desk area like you see above…
… and a meeting room, like you see here!
The Mayors Office, with an impressive view to the South
City Administration and Commissioners will each have their own office, as you see above and below. With all glass doors, and windows, a lot of natural light is a highlight for many.
The entire office system is movable and easily reconfigured – a draw for those designing the space. And, the doors were a particular highlight – they are a soft-close system!
The Engineering Department, pictured here, will occupy parts of 2 floors
