Amy Iler and JJ Gordon welcomed representatives from the Red River Valley Fair into the studio to get the word out and urge folks to sign up an active or retired member of the military to be honored during the 2018 Hometown Hero presentation at the RRVF.
We all have a special service man or woman in our lives who deserves their moment in the spotlight. During Military Appreciation Day at the Red River Valley Fair, the community will get a chance to salute 5 individuals who have had an impact on their community. Whether you are nominating grandpa, your wife, a co-worker, a friend or a neighbor, the requirements are minimal – but the impact is enormous.
NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Nominees must have served between 1940-2018
- Nominees must still be living
- Nominee must live in a 75-100 mile radius
- Nominators are asked to read the entry on stage at the Hometown Hero program
- Hometown Heroes will be announced at the Hometown Hero Program on Thursday, July 12, prior to the High Valley & Aaron Watson Concert.
