IT2 welcomes Denise Tollefson, Richard Anderson and Stephanie Miller from Serenity Assisted Living in Dilworth, MN to discuss exercise and aging. There are some myths they would like to get out of your mind and let you know that an active lifestyle is possible at any age.
When we age, it’s typical to assume that you won’t be as active. Exercise takes a back seat because we have convinced ourselves that we just don’t have it in us anymore. Nothing could be further from the truth. Stephanie Miller is a Wellness Coordinator at Serenity Assisted Living in Dilworth and her belief is that individualized programs are just what the doctor ordered for older folks to stay happy and healthy.
Stephanie discusses the myths associated with exercise and age – such as “I’m too weak or have too many aches and pains” or “I’m too old already” or the common “I’ve never exercised before, so I can’t just start now”
None of these myths are true and Stephanie does a great job walking through each myth and telling you how the programs that Serenity Assisted Living have developed can help you stay active or kick start activity – even after 80!
