IN THIS PODCAST: Scott Nodland joins IT2 to talk an initiated measure to raise North Dakota’s minimum wage.
The current minimum wage is $7.25/ hour. The group is proposing a phased increase to $9.83 an hour in 2019, $12.41/hour the following year and $15/ hour in 2021.
After that, there would be annual increases tied to cost of living.
The petition wording has not yet been approved by the Secretary of State’s office. Once it is, the group will need 13,452 valid signatures by July 8th to get on the November ballot.
