In This Podcast: Homeless advocate, consultant, Michael Carbone. He shared some “Good News for the Homeless.” Mostly, the good news deals with progress in Bismarck North Dakota.
Here’s what Michael has to say:
“Bismarck is getting its shelter opened. The National Low Income Housing Coalition received a major grant to fight the root causes of homelessness.
The Moorhead Public Housing Agency (I’m a board member) received a ROSS grant to help improve quality of life outcomes for residents, and expects to make homelessness a preference on the wait list.”
Jack Sunday noted that the “real” good news will be when we announce that there is no more homelessness. In a state wealthy as North Dakota, and a thriving city like Fargo, it’s ridiculous that the homeless live on the streets.
