You start to hear the stories surrounding the folks in our region who receive a Christmas Gift on December 3rd. From now until just before Christmas we ask that you write us a letter or use the digital submission page on KFGO.com to tell us about someone in the community in need. Whether they have health issues, personal tragedy or just need a hand during the holidays – we would like to hear about it and see if we can help.
Dan Michaels sits down with Amy Iler and JJ Gordon to share some memories from previous years as well as gives them some tips on how to submit your friend, family or neighbor!

Established in 1990, The Christmas Gift helps make holiday dreams come true.
Each holiday season we ask our listeners of The Mighty 790 KFGO to inform us of individuals and families who find themselves in need during the most important time of year, Christmas. Based on the philosophy of biggest need comes first, we do our best to grant as many Christmas Gifts as possible. Most of the Christmas Gifts are recorded and played back each weekday morning around 7:00am & 5:00pm in December until Christmas on The Mighty 790 KFGO.
In keeping with the mantra of keeping the holiday spirit all the year ‘round, we also grant Christmas Gifts outside Christmas time when the need arises. Our revenue is produced by fundraising activities including “Burgers on the Plaza” each summer, “Fashion Avenue” in the fall, and generous donations.
The Christmas Gift is a 501©3 non profit organization and registered with the Secretary of State of North Dakota.
