WATFORD CITY, ND (KFGO) – Emergency crews were called out to an explosion at an oilfield saltwater disposal site southeast of Watford City Thursday.
McKenzie County Emergency Manager Karolin Jappe says there was only one man on site at the time of the explosion and he was not injured. The incident was at a White Owl Energy Services site. The cause of the explosion and fire is unknown at this time.
Jappe says the fire was left to burn out on its own. No structures or people were in danger following the explosion.
