
DOUGLAS COUNTY, MINN. Shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a third-party report of a 16-year-old girl having a medical emergency near the intersection of two rural roads near Holmes City, an unincorporated community, 9 miles southwest of Alexandria.
Deputies determined several resources would be needed for the incident based on the information received. Multiple deputies and a state trooper responded to the scene.
The sheriff’s office armored vehicle was also dispatched. The armored vehicle acted as an ambulance where the patient was treated inside
until paramedics arrived.
The patient was airlifted by Life Link Helicopter to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for further medical treatment.
This case remains under investigation. No other details were available.
