CROOKSTON, MN (KFGO) – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a man who died when the semi he was driving caught fire south of Mentor Monday afternoon. He was 62-year-old Thomas Wolbeck of Waubun.
Wolbeck’s body was recovered from the wreckage. Deputies and firefighters responded to a roll-over around 3:30 p.m. The truck was in a ditch, engulfed in flames. Wolbeck was hauling hay bales.
The state patrol and state fire marshal’s office have joined the sheriff’s department in the investigation.
