KFGO’s resident Mr. Fix-It Tim Noteboom answers questions from listeners about home improvement, repair and whether or DIY is in your future.
IN THIS EPISODE:
Tim gives some advice on how to get floors to be less cold on bare feet. Whether it is adding some insulation in between the floorboards below hardwood or tile or ideas on pumping hot air across the floor itself – he has some suggestions.
One particular caller asked about slab on grade homes and getting those floors to heat up. Beyond adding floorboard heaters – Tim suggests adding some additional insulation on the outside of the home below the ground level. An easy enough job for most people, your local hardware store has everything you need. If you really want to get rid of the chill, look into adding a new flooring with heat cabling built in. They have come a long way and might be the perfect fix to your frozen feet.
