WEST FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – A dehumidifier may have caused a fire in the basement of a West Fargo home Friday. Firefighters were called at around noon to 437 3rd Avenue East.
West Fargo Fire Chief Dan Fuller says no one was injured. Fuller says a woman in the house spotted the fire and safely escaped with a dog.
Fuller says a dehumidifier in the basement is suspected of causing the fire. He says some models of dehumidifiers have been recalled because of fire hazards in recent years.
West Fargo Police, F-M Ambulance, The Red Cross and Salvation Army also responded.
